My media habits and

preferences
Daniel Trakys 8B
What media/social-media platforms do you use? Why?
I mainly use YouTube and Twitter. I like Youtube because it's a visual platform and
I can see videos from my favorite social media influencers. Twitter, on the other
hand, is more about sharing thoughts and opinions. I use it to keep up with news
and to follow my favorite journalists and commentators.
How much time do you spend on them on average?
I try to limit my screen time, but I think I spend about 4-6 hours a day on YouTube
and Twitter combined. I know it's not ideal, but it's hard to resist checking my
notifications and scrolling through my feeds.
What are your main points of interest?
I'm really into music and memes, so I watch a lot of musicians, memes on
YouTube. I also like to stay informed about news trending and current events, so I
follow news outlets and journalists on Twitter.
What famous personalities, if any, do you follow? Why?
Yes, I follow a few influencers who share tips and advice on art and fashion. I also
follow some musicians and actors who I admire. It's interesting to see what they're
up to and to get a glimpse into their personal lives.
Do you trust your social media platform? Is it safe? Trustworthy? What are its pros and cons?

I try to be careful with my personal information and privacy settings, but I know
there are always risks involved with using social media. I do trust the platforms to
a certain extent, but I always try to be cautious and aware of the potential dangers.
Would you like to make a change in your (social) media habits? Why?

I would like to spend less time on social media and more time on other activities
like reading or exercising. I also want to be more intentional about the content I
consume and share. Sometimes I find myself mindlessly scrolling through my
feeds without really engaging with the material, so I want to be more mindful about
how I use these platforms.
