 THESIS STATEMENT – A sentence which summarizes your argument
at the end of the introduction paragraph.
 THESIS STATEMENT FORMULA: (TOPIC+STANCE+REASON).

 EXAMPLE TOPIC
 The misuse of drug is a serious offence, it can lead to the spreading of
disease, increase in crime and even death.

REASON
 A good introduction must have and begins with the GENERAL
OVERVIEW OF THE TOPIC and ends with a THESIS STATEMENT.
TOPIC
SENTENCE
 Found in Body of Paragraphs.
 TOPIC SENTENCE – A sentence that summarizes or expresses a
main idea.

have indeed display a negative effect towards both country
and its people as it resulted to the increase of crime, the
