General Classification
Angklung is one of Indonesia's traditional musical instruments and comes from
West Java which has become known by the world community. This musical
instrument made of bamboo must be shaken to produce a tone. The meaning of
the angklung musical instrument according to KBBI is a traditional musical
instrument made from bamboo tubes.

Description
Angklung used to be only used for ceremonies related to rice. In other words,
angklung is not pure art, but art that functions in religious activities. Angklung has
existed since the Hindu era and is commonly used for religious ritual ceremonies,
such as replacing bells or bells by Hindu priests. Later during the Pajajaran
Kingdom, the angklung was also used as a musical instrument for the royal army
corps during the Bubat war. This musical instrument was sounded by the royal
soldiers to evoke fighting spirit or combat. Several types of angklung in Indonesia
