What are articles
Articles are very important words in English and so is their knowledge.
Articles are used before only nouns to limit or define their(nouns) uses
in the context of the sentences. They impart effectiveness and accuracy
to the nouns. In fact, articles are used as demonstrative adjectives and
determiners before nouns.

specific. “A or An” is the Indefinite

spoken of, such as A doctor (which

denote something which is definite or
specific. “The” is the definite articles,
they are called definite articles
because it normally points out some
particular person or thing, For e.g., He
saw the doctor (that means he saw
some particular doctor.)

• No articles

We use no article with:

1. When we refer to general ideas, plurals or uncountable nouns we

do not use THE.

• Just for the confirmation - ( avoid using the in the given context )
instead use ‘to confirm’
