INERTIA VELOCITY
An object free to
move will move It is an object's resistance
to changing its motion.
The speed and direction
of an object in motion.
once acted upon by
force.
ACCELERATION
The change in an
object's velocity.
Newton's Laws
of Motion
-the relationship between physical
object and the forces acting upon it.
OBJECTIVES
1
Explain each of Newton’s three laws of
motion.
1. 1
State the three laws of motion.
1.2
. Explain each of Newton’s three laws of motion by applying in the real-life situation.

NEWTON'S FIRST LAW OF MOTION
1.
The Law of Inertia
Objects in motion will stay in motion, and objects at rest will
stay at rest—unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
1.
The Law of Inertia
The golf ball will remain on the
ground until the golfer hits it.
NEWTON’S SECOND LAW OF MOTION
2.
The Law of Acceleration
states that the acceleration of an object with constant mass
is proportional to the net force action on it and is in the
same direction of the net force
2.
The Law of
Acceleration
The car accelerates forward since the
force due to its engine is greater than
the friction on the road.
Acceleration is directly
proportional to the force
NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION
3.
The Law of Action and Reaction
Every action force has a reaction force that is equal in size
and opposite in direction.
3.
The Law of Action
and Reaction
On a rocket launch, the shuttle
exerts a downward force, and the
reaction force of the same size
pushes it upward.
GROUP
ACTIVITY
Group 1- Law of Inertia
Materials :
Coin
Index card
glass
Procedures:
1.Get a glass and put index card on the top of it
2.Placed one piso coin or any coin on the top of the index card
3.Pull the index card as fast as you can, then observe what
happen? Relate the law of inertia for this activity.
GROUP
ACTIVITY
Group 2- Law of Acceleration
Materials :
rope Baloon pump
Straw Clips
Tape coins
2 ballons
Procedures:
1. Tie the two rope to the windows grills and insert the straw.
2. Inflate the balloons with the same size and sealed with a clip.
3. Stick the balloons to the straw using tape. One balloons has 4 pcs,
coins stuck to it and the other without coin.
4. Release the air in the balloons by removing the clip and observe
what happen? What balloons comes first ? Balloons with coins? Or
without coins Explain your observation and relate in the newton
second law of motion.
GROUP
ACTIVITY
Group 3- Law of Interaction
Materials :
rope
tape
Procedure:
The player begin tugging the rope when the leader gives the signal. Each player
pulls backward as hard as they can. The teams continue pulling until the until
the center of the rope (tape mark) crosses where the leader is standing. The
game ends when the leader declares one team has successfully pulled the past
the center. Relate the law of interaction for this activity. What do you observe?
Relate your observation in Newtonton third law of motion.

ideas
Exploratory-Map shows complex thinking about the meaningful
relationships between ideas, themes and the framework
Relationships- relative importance of ideas is indicated and both
simple and complex relationships are mapped very effectively.
Connections- information is presented clearly and allows for a high
level of understanding.
