Refresher on DepEd Order
No. 35, s. 2016

The quality of learning is greatly

influenced by the quality of teaching.

11
The school-based LAC primarily functions as a
professional learning community for teachers that
will help them improve practice and learner
achievement.

12
LACs are bottom-up professional development programs
where colleagues study content and pedagogies together,
plan lessons collaboratively, and conduct action research
as a group.

13
14
17. 5 LAC sessions should be conducted once a month.
There is a need to prioritize the LACs because this is a
support system for teachers who are tasked to deliver basic
education.
