Diversity
DCK is a registered Kenyan institute which was
established in 2015 with the vision of providing
dance training of a world class level to the children
of/in Kenya.
10/25/2023
the students are
diverse. Children of
middle-class Kenyan
families,
underprivileged
communities such as
slums and expatriate
families are learning
dance together in
DCK’s studios.
In July 2023,
Japanese/Kenyan dancer Keri
Yamane and DCK-sponsored
student Eugene Ochieng
traveled to Mesagne, Italy to
compete against dancers from
around the world, ultimately
winning the gold medal. This
victory solidified Kenyan
ballet's recognition on the
international stage.

In June 2023, DCK presented the first ever musical, Oliver! with the Safaricom
Youth Orchestra, which was highly acclaimed by audiences and critics.
Five performances are scheduled for 2023-24, including the already concluded
‘Shujaa Stories’. These include ‘the Nutcracker’, another ballet classic ‘Coppelia’,
which will be performed for the first time in Kenya in February 2024, and the
musical ‘Cats’ in June 2024.
There have been more than 5000 children from underprivileged communities
who have made it to the theatre to see ballet for the first time because of the
generosity of our sponsors and friends.

Corporate Sponsorship
Program
DCK is looking for
companies who support
us in our efforts to
further change the lives
of children in Kenya
and continue to produce
great performing arts
productions.
Regular or occasional donations
from companies and supporters,
together with the surplus of
DCK's income from school fees
and shows, are used to cover
scholarship program and
production costs of the shows.
Corporate sponsorship
also offers the business
benefits, including
complimentary tickets to
the show, prominent
advertising space in our
program, and recognition
across our social media
platforms.
Corporate sponsorship includes seasonal sponsorship, which provides
support throughout the year, and packages, which support individual
productions.
