Burmese pronouns ငကမိန်ကလေ။

First Person Pronouns(Casual)


Pronouns usage in Burmese depends on
two factors
 Closeness
 politeness of the speaker
Pronoun “င” is only used in given pics:
>Boy and Girl are close
>Speaks casually
>Gender neutral
Two close friends talking to each other
First Person Pronouns(Formal)

ကျွန်တေ ပင်ပန်နေပြီ။

(I am tired)
“ကျွန်တေ” is used:
>Boy talking to his dad respectfully
If the speaker was a girl
“ကျွန်မ” is used
In English, pronoun is only ‘I’.

“ရှ င်” is used when speaker is a female “ခင်ဗျ” is
