 • What is the Community Agriculture Program? The
Community Agriculture Program (CAP) is a
partnership between farmers and users of farm produce.
This partnership is supported by the idea that everyone
is responsible for the land. CAP members support
farmers who maintain the land responsibly while
producing quality food. Being part of a PAC is like
having your own grower. How does it work? We
farmers are responsible for planting, maintenance and
harvesting. Farm members buy their share of the crop
during the winter and then pick up their harvested
produce from the farm each week during the growing
season. Community agriculture Established as a
community farm in 2001, The Old Barn is a certified
organic producer of vegetables, fruits and flowers
located in the Memphremagog Valley in the Eastern
Townships of Quebec. Our Community Agriculture
Program (CAP) is in its tenth season.
