• The biopic of India's legendary captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (played by

OBJECTIVE &
PURPOSE
The objective of this assignment is to investigate and analyze the
numerous organizational behavior (OB) ideas depicted in the film
"MS Dhoni: The Untold Story."
We hope to discover and assess major OB themes such as
leadership styles, teamwork, motivation, and more by examining
sequences and incidents from the film, and to comprehend their
relevance in real-life management circumstances.
The goals aim to create parallels between the depiction of these OB
themes in the film and their application in organizational settings,
providing useful insights for managers and professionals looking
to improve leadership, teamwork, and motivation inside their

• Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the greatest leaders (captain) that the world has witnessed.
With his brilliant captaincy and leadership INDIA won all the three ICC tournaments which
has been not done by any other cricket team.
• In his biopic , there are many scenes which reflected his ability as a leader. One of the scenes is
from the world cup final match in which he promoted himself up to bat at the crucial point of
the match . Everyone was thinking why the captain has made such a big change in the batting
order in the final match. But he took the responsibility and lead his team to victory. Later on
he explained that he wanted a left-right combination to disrupt the bowler’s rhythm by
rotating strike he also added if Gambhir had got out instead of Kohli , Yuvraj would have come
in. This shows how a good leader can take fast decision according to the current situation.
• He is a great leader who always keeps a check on his emotions both in victory and defeat which
makes him different from others.

TEAMWORK
MS Dhoni was known for his exceptional teamwork skills, both as a player and a captain. Here are some
aspects of his teamwork skills.

Dhoni utilizes every team member at his disposal and brings out the best performance whether he is a
senior or junior player. He provides opportunity for every team member to prove themselves and
contribute to the best of their abilities.

He places immense trust on his people and backs them to deliver. This allows them to express themselves
freely without the fear of failure. At the workplace, team members reciprocate and feel a sense of
responsibility basis the trust shown by their leaders on them.

Remember, he gave the last over to Joginder Sharma who doesn‟t have much a track record., By putting
such a person in front of a challenging task, it tells the person that the leader has confidence in his abilities
and will be fired up to put in120 per cent. This happened with Joginder Sharma in two critical matches
where he was hit all around the ground and still given the last over. He delivered on both instances.
