It’s common, but yes.. it’s the typical reason “para
mka ahon sa kahirapan”. Philippine Government
agencies involved were POEA, OWWA, DOLE.

b. How do you differentiate the people’s

way of life in the country you went to
compared to the Philippines in terms of:

· economy
·governance
·other nationality’s treatment

I’ve been to a lot of countries actually, so I will just point
this out generally .. It’s quite different in lot of terms .. For
culture, of course in every country we have our own
different beliefs that affects our culture & how we are
raised..that is also why every person is unique. We
Filipinos are just too unique because we are 4 cultures in 1
, the original native Filipino, American, Japanese and
Spanish.

Economy, well sad to say..our country is just trying to
survive. “Napag iwanan na kumbaga”. Other countries?
they’re doing good and each year progressing. Easy to
spot is their evident advancement in Tourism, Military,
Technology, Health.

In Governance, it’s very transparent.. we lack good, firm
leaders that will keep our country in shape.

About other nationality’s treatment, well, I can say its fair.
But, not all countries treatment to us Filipinos are all well.
Same us Filipinos, we may welcome other foreigners and
treat them nicely..but, not most of the time.. and vice versa.

between your personal and family
situations before and after going
abroad?

Sadly, nothing has changed from my family situation.
But, personally I know that I have changed a lot..working
abroad broadened my thinking, and I learned more
about life.
