Communication By Word Of Mouth
Activity 1
Pass a message
■ Pick 5 students for the class

■ Make the 4 students stand outside the class keeping one on the stage

■ Whisper a message or 2-3 sentences in the ears of a first student

■ He will call the 2nd student in, whispers the same thing what you communicated

■ 2nd will call the 3rd student, and it continues

■ The 5th student will say the message in front of the class
Meaning:
‘A composite of Speaking and Listening’
■ The initial impact is made by the speaking
abilities of the sender. Equally important is
the ability to listen carefully

■ The two activities, viz., speaking and listening,


cannot be segregated
