When Josh showed her the spider, Molly jumped
and ran to her mother as quickly as possible.
What can you infer from this?
You can infer that Molly is scared (even though the author
does not state it directly) because she jumps and runs (which
people often do when they are scared). You can also infer
that Molly feels comfort when she is
with her mom as she goes to her
when she is scared of the spider.
