 What is a
preposition?
In general, a preposition is a word or group of words used before a noun, personal
pronoun, or noun phrase to indicate direction, location, time, place relationship or
introduce an object. Prepositions indicate a relationship between words in a
sentence. Many prepositions will provide information about the location of an
object, or when an event occurred.
