 • The biggest country in the world

China is home to around 1.44 billion

people. This also makes it the largest
country in the world by population.
China has more people than South
America, Europe (excluding Russia),
the United States, Australia, Canada and
New Zealand combined.

• Has the largest single
time zone in the world
China is the fourth largest country in
the world by area. However, this
country has only one time zone. China
once had five time zones used from
1912 to 1949.
But for now all regions of the country
officially use Beijing time or also
China Standard Time (CST), namely
GMT + 8. This is also a policy carried
out by the Chinese government.
• It has the longest man-
made structure in the
world
Has a length of about 13,170 miles or
21,196 km, the Great Wall of China or
the Great Wall of China is the longest
man-made structure in the world.
The Great Wall of China is more than
2,300 years old and was built over
centuries by six different Chinese
dynasties. This wall is also one of the
UNESCO world heritage sites and is also
included in the seven wonders of the
world.

• The police use
geese
Usually, in guiding an investigation into
an incident carried out by various police
parties in various countries using a
sniffer dog. But it's different with the
police in China. They use geese. Geese
are thought to be more sensitive to
sharper sounds than bloodhounds.
The geese are assigned to a functioning
guard post, when there is a strange
noise, such as burglary, the geese will
chirp and signal to the police where the
incident happened.

Before starting the lesson, students
in China usually warm up. This
activity is done to maintain a
healthy body and boost the spirit of
the students.
* Self-study
Unlike students in Indonesia, students in
China have self-study sessions. Some
schools in China require students to take
these self-study sessions at school, but
there are also schools that allow students to
continue the learning process at home.
* Napping Culture
Just like in our school, Chinese
schools also give students a nap time
after lunch and before lessons start
again. In fact, this system is also
implemented in several companies in
China so as to increase productivity.
* Ranking every day
One of the education systems in China is that
all students will be ranked every day based on
their grades and activity in class. Then the
ranking results will continue to be informed on
the school information board and can be seen
by all students so that they know their study
achievements. This also aims to motivate
students and increase competitiveness among
them.

 * Cheongsam * Eating with chopsticks

Cheongsam is a long dress for women that is tight

on the body or shows the curves of the female
body. The term "Cheongsam" meaning "long dress"
is translated from the dialect of Guangdong
Province (Canton) in China, while other regions
refer to this dress as "Qipao".
When eating, Chinese people use
chopsticks more often than other eating
utensils such as spoons and forks.
 * Chinese Calendar
The Chinese calendar is the oldest calendar system
in the world. In the Chinese calendar, each year is
named after an animal. There are 12 animals in the
Chinese calendar and every 12 years the cycle
repeats. The Chinese believe that a person's fate
depends on the year the person was born.
* White clothes for mourning
Unlike most people who wear black clothes when
mourning, Chinese people wear all-white clothes
called "Hoo Lam" when mourning. Chinese
people consider the color white to be purity.
Wearing white during mourning aims to ease the
suffering of the deceased.
