Our Mission Statement

For effective implantation and maintaining international standards, Academic directorate is among
the leading office of the university. It plans and implements academic projects and programs which
are approved by the academic council and Board of Governors. To provide quality of curricula,
courses of studies and allied infrastructure, directorate regularly reviews and update academic
programs. It also enforce highest academic standards for excellence in teaching and learning.

This plan provides strategic direction in terms of broadly defined goals critical to the evolution of
University of Sialkot. It is a dynamic plan open to reforms as we progress in the field of higher
education. Directorate of Academics has set goals and objectives as per the mission and vision of
the university. Focusing on quality, the directorate has planned different goals on the basis of a time
line that is divided into three phases.

Actions to be taken
• Monitoring and updating of digitized schemes
• Digitize the time table by an effective and user friendly interface.
• Digitize academic calendar that will level out the academic path for all
departments
• Digitizing course outline in a way that it link the curriculum to be
taught with PLO’s and CLO’s that would reflect on the transcript of
student as per HEC guideline
• Recruit and retain talented, diverse and committed faculty members
• Conduct faculty work load exercise trough out the semester
• Provide professional development training for teaching and non-
teaching faculty
• Process and ensure implementation of 100% fee waiver policy of
faculty members for PhD program

Actions to be taken
• Keeping in view PEO (Program Educational Outcome), new programs
must be offered on the basis of industrial requirement
• To strengthen BOS and BOF process by engaging industrial experts to
design PLO’ s and CLO’s that will help in Outcome base learning
• NOC documentation as per mark of HEC guidelines for quick approval
from the governing body
• Provide opportunities for students to understand innovative scientific
approaches and to develop capacity of global research trend
• Set multiple means of student assessments which will boost students’
confidence (focusing on soft skills)
• Upgrade old and set new laboratories technology centers as per
council’s criteria
