    Heat Energy
    (also called thermal energy) is produced from the
    temperature of the heated material. The energy that
    comes from the temperature of the heated material

    called thermal energy. Heat is produced when
    energy is transformed. It can be measured
    by using a thermometer.
    Combustion
    is the scientific word for burning, which needs
    heat, fuel and oxygen to happen.
    Rusting
    is the scientific word for burning, which needs
    heat, fuel and oxygen to happen.
    Rusting

    The change in color of some
    fruits and vegetables is due to
    its exposure to oxygen.
    Decomposition
    If there is an absence of oxygen
    decomposition takes place. An
    example is when attacked by
    certain microorganisms, animal
    and vegetable matter
    decompose
    or decay. This natural decay is
    called putrefaction.
    Global Warming
    occurs when carbon dioxide
    (CO2) and other air pollutants
    and greenhouse gases trapped
    in the atmosphere.

    These gases warm our


    atmosphere by
    converting solar infrared
    radiation into heat energy.
    Pollution
    are harmful materials
    created by human activity or
    natural phenomenon.
    Kaingin System
    means clearing by cutting down
    trees and burning and plant
    growth in an area for cultivation
    purposes.
    Incineration
    is the process of destroying
    something, especially waste
    material by burning.
