ABOUT SUSPENSION

• A suspension system is a set of mechanical connections, springs, and dampers that

connect the wheels to the chassis. It has traditionally performed two functions:
managing the vehicle’s handling and braking for safety and keeping passengers
comfortable from bumps, vibrations, and other factors.

• It is a mechanical system of springs or shock absorbers connecting the wheels and

axles to the chassis of wheeled dogs a car suspension system work vehicle. It also
aids in maintaining proper vehicle height and alignment. It also controls the
vehicle’s orientation and must keep the steering wheel perpendicular to the ground
for maximum grip. The suspension also helps to safeguard the car and its contents
from damage and wear.

• Suspension is the system of tires, tire air, springs, shock absorbers and linkages
that connects a vehicle to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two
Suspension systems must support both road holding/handling and ride quality
ABOUT BEVEL GEAR

• Bevel gears are useful when the direction of a shaft's rotation needs to be changed.
They are usually mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but can be designed
to work at other angles as well. The picture on the right shows how bevel gears are
used to change direction. They change the transmission of the power or torque from
one plane to another , which is different from conventional gears that transfer
rotations within a single two dimensional plane.
• Bevel gears are gears where the axes of the two shafts intersect and the tooth-
bearing faces of the gears themselves are conically shaped. Bevel gears are most
often mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but can be designed to work at
other angles as well. The pitch surface of bevel gears is a cone, known as a pitch
cone. Bevel gears change the axis of rotation of rotational power delivery and are
widely used in mechanical settings.
• Two important concepts in gearing are pitch surface and pitch angle. The pitch
surface of a gear is the imaginary toothless surface that you would have by
averaging out the peaks and valleys of the individual teeth. The pitch surface of an
ordinary gear is the shape of a cylinder. The pitch angle of a gear is the angle
between the face of the pitch surface and the axis.
CONSTRUCTION

• A springless suspension system for an automobile can be designed using bevel

gears in its construction. Bevel gears, which have cone-shaped teeth, can be used to
transfer power and torque from the vehicle's axle to the suspension system,
providing a mechanical means of absorbing shocks and vibrations. The bevel gears
can be arranged in various configurations, such as worm gears or helical gears, to
create a suspension system that can effectively dampen vibrations and impacts
from uneven road surfaces. Proper engineering design and calculations should be
considered to determine the appropriate gear ratios, tooth profiles, and placement
of bevel gears in the suspension system to achieve the desired performance and
stability. The construction of the springless suspension system using bevel gears
can provide advantages such as reduced weight, simplified design, and potentially
lower cost compared to traditional spring-based suspensions. Testing and validation
should be conducted to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the bevel gears-
based springless suspension system in the automobile, taking into account factors
such as load capacity, durability, and safety requirement
CONSTRUCTION

• The Spring less Suspension System Combines a differential mechanism

and an oscillating system. A differential is a gear train with three drive
shafts that has a property such that the rotational speed of one shaft is
the average speeds of the others, or a fixed multiple of that average and
Oscillation is the repetitive.
• The Frame of the system is mostly made of Mild steel. The frame that
holds the tires oscillates freely. The same frame is connected to the
differential.
• A motor is connected to a gear in the differential mechanism, thereby
making it the driving gear. The driving gear is connected by bevel gear
on both the side. Each gear is connected to two wheels on each side.
Each wheel is driven by an individual motor. The motor makes sure that
the gears and the wheels are in motion and the oscillating property
makes sure that the vehicle is moving forward even in rough terrain
METHODOLOGY

Car Suspension System Using Bevel Gears.
• And designing a block diagram to know which components we
need to construct it.
