MY REFLECTION
When I was in grade 10 I had knew that in this semester we would play volleyball. I dread it as I
know that I am not physically fit and that I have no experience playing any sort of sport that involves me moving
my body. I have never regarded myself as a sporty person and I can not even imagine myself taking the initiative to
play a sport.

On this semester we spent time practicing and teaching ourselves volleyball. During practice, every
leader were kind enough to be patient enough to help us all be able to play volleyball. As I had expected, I sucked
at it. Everytime they passed me the ball, either I received it and it went too far or I moved out of the way. As time
went on, I saw improvements, I was not afraid of the incoming ball and I can also pass it. We trained hard on days
where we could, to improve ourselves little by little, and we did. The best part of the training was that I made
myself get out of my comfort zone and take on a challenge.

After our hard training, it was the day of the competition. I did not participate in the competition as I
knew that despite my hard work, I was still inept at volleyball. Because I did not participate in the competition, I
put my heart and soul into cheering for my classmates who joined. It was disappointing that my classmates were
not able to beat the other class. Volleyball was a beginner sport. Further more, despite me still being unskilled at the
sport, it made the apathetic me, feel joy and excitement. Moreover, now I wouldn't say I don't see myself taking the
initiative to play a sport because the game, the sport volleyball gave joy that no online game or written works ever
