• Dinosaur extinct because of asteroid impact
• If the universe is expanding fully, the asteroid can’t hit back to the
earth
• From this fact, scientists made hypothesis that the universe is not
only expanding but also contracting
• the big bang is not the beginning of the universe

• expansion and contraction are continue over and over (Big bang &
Big Crunch)
• Infinite number of universes (multiverse) are formed
• Means the universe has no beginning and no ends
• universe take billions of years to expand and contract
• As our earth is 13.8 billion years old, it is still in an expanding
section
• Contracting section: the universe start to pull in all matter and
forming black holes that will combine into one enormous black
hole
• It will collapse the entire universe until a single point to begin big
bang
OTHER HYPOTHESIS
• This theory is cycling and forming new universe

• new universe wouldn’t be the same

• New version: would different from ours

• Anything could happen
