Preface
• Here we set ALB as the example for all
Endpoint items on

• Generally, Endpoint item includes:

Photometric: Alb, Glu, Cho, TG, TP, TBil/DBil, UA, Ca, MG, IP, Fe,
Hb, RF, CO2 …
Turbidimetric: HDL/LDL, CRP, HbA1c, Ig M/G/A, C3, C4, Apo A/B …
Basic parameter for ALB
• Read the reagent insert first, eg as below.
ALB

Input the item name for Test.

ALB
1

No. will be generated automatically by the system, eg 1 for the first one.
ALB
1

Full Name of the item, can be blank if the user don’t want to input anything.
ALB
1

Standard No. of the item, can be blank or involved with the bar code.
ALB
1

Reac. Type of the item, can be referred from the reagent insert as ...
Basic parameter for ALB

Indicates the absorbance will be stable for

30min.
• So we can set it as Endpoint type.
ALB
1

Endpoint

Reac. Type is set as Endpoint as the reagent insert indicates.

ALB

Endpoint

Pri. Wave & Sec. Wave should be selected as reagent insert indicates …
Basic parameter for ALB

• So we can set it as 578 nm for Pri. Wave; since no

secondary wavelength is mentioned, Sec. Wave could be
blank.
ALB
1

Endpoint
578

Pri. Wave is selected as 578 nm, Sec. Wave is blank.

ALB
1

Endpoint
578

Direction of the absorbance changing during the reaction, refer to ...

Basic parameter for ALB

• So we could select Ascending for the Direction.

ALB

Endpoint
578

Ascending

Direction is selected as Ascending.

Reac. Time & Incuba. Time for the reaction, refer to ...
Basic parameter for ALB
R1 Sample

Fixed 14 Time when the

cycles reaction ends (in
0 cycle of Endpoint items, it
reaction time means when
abs. changes
little)
Preheating time Reaction time

• Mono reagent items' reaction time begins when Sample is dispensed.

• Dual reagent items’ reaction time begins when R2 is dispensed.
• The time between S and R2 dispensing is called Incubation time, so
there is no incubation time for mono reagent items.
Basic parameter for ALB
• Time is all calculated into cycles on BS-200, and 1 cycle
equals to 16 seconds.
• Roughly speaking, we change minutes into cycles for
Reac. Time and Incuba. Time as below.

minute cycle
0.5 2
1 4
2 8
3 12
4 16
5 20
… …
Basic parameter for ALB

• From the insert, we can see the reaction time is 5 minutes;

• According to the minute-cycle conversion table, we can set the
reaction time as 0 and 20.

Reac. Time is set as 0 and 20, no Incuba. Time for mono reagent items.

Unit of the item, should be set according to the reagent insert …

Basic parameter for ALB

• According to the insert, we can set the Unit as g/dl or g/l.

ALB

g/l

We can set be set the Unit as g/l.

ALB

g/l

Precision of the item’s results, should be referred to the reagent insert …

Basic parameter for ALB

• If the unit is set as g/l, it’s normal to report results without

decimals. We can set the Precision as 0.
ALB

Endpoint
578

Ascending
0 20

g/l

Precision of the item is set as 0.

R1, R2 and Sample Volume of the item, should be referred to …

Basic parameter for ALB

• To process with the sample testing, we need 10ul sample and

1000ul reagent (namely, the ratio of S/R is 1/100);
• According to the volume range of BS-200 (sample: 3-45ul, R1:
180-450ul; R2: 30-450ul), and the indicated S/R ratio;
• We can set Sample volume as 3ul, and R1 as 300ul, no R2.

been finished
• Next, we should set the reagent
information as following …
Calibration and QC for ALB
• Basic reagent information (Position and
Bottle Type) has been set up
• We should set relevant calibration and QC
information for the item …

(Please refer to the video of Calibration & QC setting)
