ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM

To activate anti-theft system, wires V/G 469 & B/G 621 must
be connected together. These wires are located behind the
radio near the four relays. Machines shipping from the factory
will not have these wires connected.

After connecting anti-theft wires, the system can now be


activated. After turning on the key switch, the above will be
displayed in the monitor. A security code must be entered using
the following procedure.

Push the travel mode switch and select the first digit of the
security code. By pushing the travel mode switch you will scroll
through 0 – 9. When the number has been selected push the work
mode switch to select the next number in the security code.

Push the travel mode switch and select the fourth digit of the
security code. By pushing the travel mode switch you will scroll
through 0 – 9. After selecting the fourth digit, push the auto-
mode switch. The alarm will sound indicating the password has
been accepted. Turn the ignition key switch off.

After setting the password, the anti-theft system will only work if
the following procedure is completed:
After work is completed for the day and just before exiting the
cab after the ignition switch is turned off. Turn ignition switch
“off and on” two times in two seconds. When this is completed
the alarm will sound and system is activated.

Push the travel mode switch and enter the fourth digit of the
security code, then push the auto mode switch. If the correct
security code was entered the monitor will automatically
scroll to the normal display screen. Start engine!

If the wrong security code is entered the above screen is displayed


“ERROR”. If the security code is not known or forgotten, turn key
switch off and disconnect wires V/G 469 & B/G 621. With these
wires disconnected the anti-theft system will be deactivated. To
change the security code, reconnect these wires, turn key on and
select new security code using pervious procedure. 13

ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM ACTIVATED & ALARMED

Travel alarm will sound


Swing lock applied
Engine rpm is fixed at idle
If upper or travel functions are activated hard, engine
will stall. It is still possible to activate upper or travel
functions slowly.
