Application and Operating
Hauling

• Tramming
– Check that pedals and controls are easily accessed by the
operator, before starting the machine
– Make sure that all warning signals on the machine are tested
by the operator before starting the machine (for example,
brake lights and turn signal).
– Keep all doors closed during operation to not disrupt the flow
of cooling air or reduce noise suppression. A door may be kept
open for a short period, only if necessary.
– Switch off the diesel engine before refueling. Do not handle
flammable liquids near hot surfaces, sparks, or a naked flame.

Application and Operating
Hauling

• Tramming
– Follow local traffic regulations
– Observe that no personnel is present within the machine
hazard zone or in the direction travel
– Be aware that impaired visibility can cause a collision risk for
the operator and for other machines
– Always check the ground conditions where the machine will
be operated
– Adapt the speed to the terrain
– Never exceed the maximum allowed inclination angles for
the machine

Application and Operating
Loading
• Overload limit
– Use correct sized dump box.
120%<
– No more than 10% of the number of loads can
110-120%
exceed the nominal tramming capacity by 10%.
100-110%
– No single load must exceed the nominal
tramming capacity by 20%.

• Overloading can cause

– Overheating of hydraulic systems
– Reduce vechile stabilityand performance
– Shorten life of components
0-100%
• Tire Overloading
There is a risk of overloading the tires when driving long
distance at high speed with load. Indication limit is to drive with
load in total 14 km with a Minetruck. For information on the
detailed limits and advise on duty cycles, contact your local
Epiroc representative if close to the indicated limit.

Application and Operating
Starting the machine safely

• Before starting the truck, a pre-operation inspection of the

overall vehicle is very important. Always check the tracks if
there is a possibility of uncontrolled movement.

• The some of following are checks and verifications of the truck

that should be performed prior to starting by Operator.

- Engine oil level - Levers and pedals

- Transmission oil - Service and parking brake
- Brake cooling oil level - Clean the vehicle
- Vehicle lights - Engine coolant level
- Horn Check function - Trunnion caps
- Cabin and cabin door - Steering pins
- Drivers chair - Air filter evacuator valve
- Seat belt - Rims and tires
- Windshield, washer fluid level - Tire pressure
- Hoses and couplings - Radiators and coolers
- Hydraulic oil - Fire extinguisher (optional)
- Upbox/Dropbox oil - Fire fighting system(optional)
- Fuel filter/water separator - Electrical system.
- Fuel hoses - Dump box safety support
- Fuel tank level - Articulation safety lock
- Wiggins, breather filter (optional) - Cabin Tilt Safety Support
- Safety railing
