Minerals
• Inorgaanic compounds that occur naturally in the
earth rest,have diverse functions with in the body
and are required in the diet in very small amounts ‘
 MAJOR MINERALS – Having as higher daily need
for the body .Occur in relatively larger quantities
with in the body more then 100 mg/day .
 TRACE MINERALS –needed in smaller amounts
occur in the body in minute quantities less than
100mg/day .
MYOGLOBINS – An iron containing protien
that carries oxygen &carbondioxide in the
muscles tissues .
OSTEOPOROSIS- a condition in which nbones
becomes porous and fragile due to a loss of
minerals early damaged or broken .
