A supervisor is an individual who plays many


important roles in an organization. For supervisors to
complete their specific tasks, he/ she should have
strong interpersonal skills, technical skills,
organisational skills, leadership skills and a passion
for success.

1. Communication: Clear expectations must be communicated,


feedback must be given, and employee concerns must be heard by
supervisors.

2. Trust: Supervisors must have a level of faith in the skills and


judgement of their staff members. Employee empowerment and a
healthy work environment can be fostered by this trust.

3. Support: Supervisors should give staff members the tools and


assistance they need to do their duties well (Ahmed, 2020).

• Collaboration: Supervisors frequently need to collaborate to
achieve organisational goals. This calls for efficient collaboration
and teamwork.

appreciating the abilities and contributions of others promotes a
positive workplace environment.

• Conflict Resolution: Disagreements can arise among peers.


Effective resolution of conflict skills is important to preserving
productive partnerships (Ahmed, 2020).

Reporting: Supervisors are often responsible for informing


their superiors on their teams' performance and any

facilitate cooperation when they have an understandable working style. Supervisors who are aware of
their own style can adapt to changing conditions at work and be versatile in their surroundings.
Different members of your team will require different approaches to management, which will also
depend on the type of project you are working on, the time of year, and many other factors.

help supervisors in the following ways; personality traits are
essential for fostering strong bonds with coworkers, enhancing job
performance, and attaining sustained success in the workplace.

Having trouble controlling and expressing one's emotions at

work is one of the most prevalent signs of inadequate

emotional intelligence. Supervisors and employees have

always collaborated together to keep the firm running

smoothly. They provide knowledge and insight, monitor

employee performance, help to raise morale, and ensure that

employees are working in a supportive environment where

environment requires an understanding of the qualities
of a good supervisor. The following are some essential
traits and competencies that make an excellent
