 Less Economically Developed Countries first came
into contact with manufactured products and
technology during colonisation.
 These LEDCs sold their own resources cheaply and
used the money to buy imported manufactured
products.
 Since colonial times, poorer countries have
struggled to use modern technology and
industrialisation to achieve higher levels of
development.
