AND UNI- MEANS “ONE.
Bisect: (v.) to cut or divide into two equal or nearly
equal parts.
1- Draw a line to bisect the circle.
2.Use your compass to bisect an angle.
3- The new road will bisect the town.
Triangle:(n.) a flat shape with
three straight sides:
1. A triangle has three sides .
2. The cloth was decorated with triangles of different colors.
3- We cut some triangles of cheese.
4- To make a star, put two triangles together.
Universal: (adj.)
existing everywhere or involving everyone:
1. Can you name a universal symbol ?
2. The world has other universal languages.

Semicircle: (n.) half of a circle, or
something in this shape:
Semicircle: (N.) anything having or arranged in the form of a half of a
circle.

Biceps: (n.) the large muscle at
the front of the upper arm

Bilingual: (adj.) able to use two languages

Uniform: (n.) a particular set of clothes
that has to be worn by the members of the
same organization or group of people:

Bifocals (n.)
glasses with lenses that are divided into two parts. The upper half is for looking at
things far away and the lower half is for reading or for looking at things that are near.
Examples:
• Mrs. Bierce wears a thick bifocal lenses.
• As a rule every submarine has at least two bifocals.
• Her eyes looked huge behind her bifocal lenses.
reunion(n)
• a social event for a group of people who have not seen each other for a long time:/
a situation when people meet again after they have not seen each other for
a long time:

• Examples:
• The reunion is held every two years.
• May your reunion be happy throughout the year.

Unison: (n.) the playing or singing of notes at the same pitch by
different instruments or voices:

• "We want ice cream!" the children chanted in unison.


• 'Good morning!' the kids replied in unison.
• Try to sing in unison if you can.
• The performers sang in unison so well that you couldn't even tell that there was more
than one singer.
Semicolon(n.)
• The symbol ; used in writing between two parts of a sentence, usually when each of the
two parts could form grammatical sentences on their own. A semicolon can
also separate the things in a list.
• Examples:
• A good way to think about a semicolon’s job is that it creates a stronger pause than a
comma, but doesn’t demand a complete stop like a period!

• existing in three copies or examples.=(adj)
• a thing which is part of a set of three copies or corresponding parts. =(noun)
• make three copies of; multiply by three=(verb)
Examples

Semisweet(adj.)
• (of food) only slightly sweetened.(like dark chocolate).
Examples
• Sometimes candied coated chocolate bits or semisweet chocolate
chips are added to give this recipe a sweeter taste.
• The basic method for decorating cake is to heat heavy cream, then
pour it over pieces of dark semisweet chocolate.

Semiannual (adj.)
• occurring every six months or twice a year
• Examples

Biplane: (n.)
• an aircraft with two main supporting surfaces usually placed one above the other.
• an old type of airplane that has two sets of wings with one placed above the other

• The biplane spun around horizontally.
• She bought an old biplane and worked on it, day and night.
