HOW DO THESE PHENOMENA
HAPPEN? RAINBOW
The rainbow phenomenon often occurs after the rain stops. Rainbow
consists of a big bow spectrum and happens from water droplets which reflacted parallel
cause of light of the sun. When the sun light shines and passes the water droplets, we can
see a lot of colors bercause of this reflacted parallel. The light passes and reflacts like a
light passes through a prism mirror.

How does the rainbow work? all the occurings start when the sun light run
through the water droplets. Then, the sun light is deflected into the center of the water
droplets. Before that, The light has white colors, now the are separated dan changed into
spectrum colors. The process does not stopped until here. The separatd colors then
separated again one by one from on the water droplets. Then, the light tunrs into curve
and now we can see and called it as rainbow. It is through the above things that rainbows
can be formed.

RAIN
Rain is basically drops of liquid water that fall from clouds
to distribute water naturally across the land.

The oceans are the main source of rain, but rivers and lakes
also contribute to it. When the sun shines, it heats and evaporates the
water. The water vapor then rises into the atmosphere as an invisible
vapor. As the air is cooled, the water vapor in the cooling air condenses
to form clouds and then raindrops.

Raindrops start to form when there is particulate matter in

the air, such as dust or salt, at temperatures above freezing. These
particles are called condensation nuclei. When the nuclei are cooled to
temperatures below freezing point, water condenses around them in
layers. The particles then become quite heavy that they resist updrafts
and fall through the clouds as rainfall.

HONEY
A honeybee starts the honey making process by
visiting a flower and gathering some of its nectar. In the process of
gathering nectar, the insect transfers pollen grains from one flower
to another and pollinates the flower.

To make honey, Enzymes that bees produce turn the

sucrose into glucose and fructose. An enzyme, invertase, converts
most of the sucrose into two six-carbon sugars, glucose and
fructose. A small amount of the glucose is attacked by a second
enzyme, glucose oxidase, and converted into gluconic acid and
hydrogen peroxide. Honey bees also reduce the moisture content of
nectar, which gives it a high osmotic pressure and protection
against microbes. The honey process is a little complicated, but it
can produce very useful.
HOW DO THESE PHENOMENA
HAPPEN? E A R T H Q U A K E
Earthquake is one of the most destroying natural disasters. Unluckily it
often happens in several regions. Recently a horrible earthquake has shaken West
Sumatra. It has brought great damages. Why did it occur? Do you know how an
earthquake happens?

Earthquakes are usually caused when rock underground suddenly breaks

along a fault. This sudden release of energy causes the seismic waves. It make the
ground shake. When two blocks of rock or two plates are rubbing against each other,
they stick a little. They don’t just slide smoothly. The rocks are still pushing against
each other, but not moving. After a while, the rocks break because of all the pressure
that’s built up. When the rocks break, the earthquake occurs.

During the earthquake and afterward, the plates or blocks of rock start
moving, and they continue to move until they get stuck again. The spot underground
where the rock breaks is called the focus of the earthquake. The place right above the
focus is called the epicenter of the earthquake
