within a sentence but do not have both a subject and a verb.

An adjective phrase is a specific type of phrase that functions as an adjective


within a sentence. It is a group of words that work together to modify or
describe a noun or a pronoun, just like a single adjective does.

the noun or pronoun.

"made of gold," where "made of" is a prepositional phrase modifying the noun it

a noun.
