Conventions of title sequences

By Danielle Chivers

Ident
Every title sequence includes an ident of the producer or distributer of the film or even both as we have demonstrated in our film. We have used indie production and distribution company's to feature in our film opening. They are called February Films as our producer and Jaman Distribution as our distributer.

Title
Our group decided that we should include a stand alone title to emphasize on creating tension and also to help establish the genre. we used 1942 report font to make it look more like a horror thriller, we took inspiration from the film Se7en.

Our title

Se7ens title

This is a list of titles in order of appearance. We included all of these titles in our film and presented them as super imposed/ stand alone.

Types of openings
There's many types of openings such as; Discrete sort of like a montage edit of events from the films. Narrative tells the story of the film/ introduces the plot, flows well like continuity editing. Stand alone blank screen with titles in the middle or placed around the screen.
