2015-2016 Dues
Dues are $20 single and $30 family, and they were due by
the September meeting. If you have not yet paid them,
mail the 2015-2016 dues to Dixie Lowin, 2028 W. Ranch
Road, Mequon, WI 53092.

Learn How to Do to include discussion and
demonstration of ways to enhance images.
December 3
Our annual pot luck holiday party and slideshow.
January 7
PSA Regional Showcase judging.
Note: this topic was previously scheduled for the April
meeting, but has been moved up to January.
February 4
Members may seek positive feedback to help improve
photo skills, or ones photos with other members.
Additionally, questionnaires will be distributed and a
committee will be formed to review the responses and
determine next years schedule.
March 3
Wisconsin Print Circuit is our annual opportunity to judge
the work of other Wisconsin camera clubs and an excellent
time to see the work of other clubs. Questionnaires will be

April 7
The topic of Before and after gives members the
opportunity to show an image as taken and as edited.
Note: this topic was originally scheduled for January.
May 5
Year-end competition. Information will be distributed in
advance. Banquet prepayment of $15.95 per person is due.
We must have 25 banquet participants to secure the room.
May 19
Year-end banquet at Meyers Restaurant. Arrive as early as
6 pm. Dinner at 7 pm. Next years schedule will be
handed out at the banquet.

Entry fees are $4 for each category.


Entry forms and projected images are due October 17th.
Entry forms for prints also are due October 17. Prints may
be delivered as late as November 7, the judging date.

Kathy Braun will pick up print entries at our November


meeting and deliver them to the judging venue.

Exhibit: The 5th Annual WACCO Exhibit at the Reuss


Building (the Blue) will be January 16 March 12, 2016.
Submission deadline is midnight December 19, 2015.

Loss of a Club Member


Long-time club member and lifetime photographer Del
(Delmar) Desens APSA, passed away on September 25.
Services were held on October 1.

Wisconsin Print Circuit


In late September Richard Yehl sent an email to all club
members regarding the 2015-2016 Wisconsin Print Circuit
entries. Bring your 8x10 prints to the October or November
club meeting. Judging will take place at our February
meeting.

Del joined Photopictorialists in 1956 and became a life


member in 1988. In 1999 the Photographic Society of
America gave Del the Associate Honor for material
contributions to the advancement of photography, noting
specifically his impressive record of photographic
awards and publications, his sharing of photographic
expertise through judging, slide and print shows, and
travel sequences, and his service to local organizations,
photographic clubs, the Wisconsin PSA chapter and
service to PSA. Del and Mary most recently came to part
of the September 2015 Photopictorialist meeting.

Festival of Trees and Music at the Wisconsin
Conservatory of Music, Nov. 12-22. Free admission.
Dozens of live performances take place at the majestic
Prospect Ave. mansion alongside thousands of lights,

Barbara Gerlachs day-long seminar, How to Shoot

Below is a photograph of one of Dels photos, taken at


the Fall 2014 WACCO exhibit at the Reuss Building.
Del took the original photograph of marching ROTC
members when he was in college, and remained so
pleased with it that he chose to display it last year.
