    Question 1

    A manufacturing business can be organized into the following functions: (1) production, (2)
    marketing, (3) human resources, (4) accounting, and (5) finance.

    Required:

    (a) What do you think are the major roles that each of the five functions identified above play in
    a manufacturing business? Your answer should provide an integrated view of the business.
    (30 marks)

    (b) What do you think are the three most important skills that managers should have in order to
    ensure business success? Provide reasons for your answer.

    (30 marks)

    (Total: 60 marks)

    Question 2

    Write a speech to encourage foreign businesses to invest in your country. Organise your speech
    around four major factors that you think will attract foreign investors.
