Language focus : Vocabulary: fishmonger, bread vendor, nurse, optician
and shopkeeper.
Curriculum Specification : 3.2.2 Read and learn the meanings of five key words
for each topic.
4.4.3 Complete simple instructions, texts, rhymes,
notices, recipes, stories with the missing word(s)(with
guidance given in the form of words and pictures).
4.6.1 Spell words that are given to be memorized
2.4.4 Recite simple poems and jazz chants with
expression and appropriate gestures.
Previous knowledge : a) Pupils know some of the name of the occupations.
- doctor, teacher, farmer and policeman.
Instructional materials : Pictures, task sheets, slides (power point)
Aim : a) Name the occupations.
b) Identify the meaning of the vocabulary.
Objective: By the end of this lesson, pupils should be able to:
a) name the occupations.
b) identify the nature of work of the occupations
c) transfer the main information to the grid provided.
d) get the answers for the riddles.
