The attached Technical Assistance of CFTC staff document contains comments with regard to the
language you provided for review. As you will see, in many instances we offer to provide drafting assistance so
please let me know as you find those you would like to pursue. In some areas, language is already being prepared
and will be provided to you shortly. I did not want to hold up this comment document while the others are being
completed.

I would note that some of the commentary is similar to CFTC staff review of the Administration's
proposal included in Chairman Gensler's Aug. 17 letter to Senators Dodd and Shelby, and so may look familiar to
you.

Chairman Gensler is grateful for your willingness to consult the CFTC staff with regard to such an
important legislative endeavor. If we can be helpful to the Committee in any way, please don't hesitate to let me
