Vocabulary: (Pronouns)

Note:
For the meantime, let’s forget the other pronouns we had learned before.
Today it’s “Ikaw” and “Ba.” The two letter word “Ba” makes a sentence into
a question. “Ba” comes (1) after the pronoun and (2) before the article.

English: Do you have five combs?


Short-form Tagalog: Ikaw ba ay mayroong limang suklay?

Note for Exercise 2:


On Exercise 2, you will notice that the English translations are similar. However, the
condition sets them apart. Think of these two sentences, “Dad, does our family have five
dogs?” and “Teacher, does our family have five dogs?” The first sentence the Dad is
included in the group. In the second sentence, the teacher is outside of the group. See
below.
