Lesson 014
Lesson 14
Vocabulary:
Mayroon...............................................There is/There are/Have/Has
Note:
In the modern Tagalog Language, the word “mayroon” is always spoken
with an “ng” at the end. Fluent speakers of the language shorten its
pronunciation by removing the “y” to sound “meh-ron.” The normal form
(mayroon) is used only if the word that goes right after is a pronoun like he,
she, they, etc. (Right now, this has not been tackled – Worry not, it will be
done on another lesson).
Sample:
English: There are girl/s
Tagalog (Singular): Mayroong babae.
Tagalog (Plural): Mayroong mga babae.
