2 abandoned babies found in USJ, Puchong

June 13, 2012 SUBANG JAYA, June 13 Two abandoned babies, both girls, were found in Taman Saujana, Puchong and USJ 12, Subang Jaya, yesterday and today. Subang Jaya Police Chief ACP Yahaya Ramli said a nasi lemak seller found a baby with its umbilical cord intact at 7.15am near his stall that is situated behind Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) USJ 12, here. The baby was wrapped in a purple coloured cloth while the umbilical cord had dried up. The baby had mosquito bite marks all over her body, he said when contacted here today. Yahaya said based on information from the hospital where the baby was sent, the baby who had a fair complexion with sharp nose, weighed 2.35kg and could have been born three days ago. Meanwhile, another baby girl was found near a rubbish bin at Taman Saujana, Puchong by a passerby at 4.20pm yesterday. The passerby who heard cries had initially thought it was a cat but upon probing further, found a crying baby girl. The baby was found wrapped in a black cloth. There were also marks all over the body, believed to be ant bites. The umbilical cord had been cut and based on information from the Kajang Hospital, the baby could have been born 24 hours ago, he said. Both babies are currently receiving treatment. Bernama
