‫ﺎ ُﺀ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺳ‬ ‫ ﺍ ِﻹ‬--- (Exception)

It’s kinds and their ‫ﺮﺍﺏ‬‫( ﹺﺇﻋ‬i.e. declension)

The Istithna has three elements:
a) ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍﹾﻟ‬ – it is the thing that is excepted.

b) ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬

 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ – ﺍﹾﻟ‬it is the thing from which exception is made.
c) ‫ﺎ ِﺀ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﺍ ﹸﺓ ﺍ ِﻹ‬‫ – ﹶﺃﺩ‬it is the tool of exception which are:
‫ﹺﺇﻻﱠ‬ - a particle (‫ﻑ‬
 ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ )
‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ ﹶﻏ‬and ‫ﻯ‬‫ﺳﻮ‬ - these two are nouns.

‫ﻼ‬‫ ﻣﺎﺧ‬and ‫ﻣﺎﻋﺪﺍ‬ - these two are verbs.

Most common of these is ‫ ﹺﺇﻻﱠ‬. ‫ﺎ ُﺀ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺳ‬ ‫ﺍ ِﻹ‬

ٌ‫ﺎﻡ‬‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻍ‬
‫ ﹲ‬‫ﻣ ﹶﻔﺮ‬
(Both ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬and ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬are mentioned) In this ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬is not mentioned.
There is no fixed ‫ﺮﺍﺏ‬‫ ﹺﺇﻋ‬.
It deserves the ‫ﺮﺍﺏ‬‫ ﹺﺇﻋ‬as if the ‫ ﹺﺇﻻﱠ‬is not mentioned

‫ﻊ‬ ‫ﻄ‬ ‫ﻨ ﹶﻘ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺼ ﹲﻞ‬

 ‫ﻣﺘ‬
Both are of different kind. Both are of same kind, i.e.,
i.e. ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬and ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍﹾﻟ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬and ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍﹾﻟ‬
Here the sentence can be
‫ﺐ‬
 ‫ﺟ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ or ‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺟ ﹴ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﹶﻏ‬
But the ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬is always ‫ﺏ‬
 ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﺼ‬
 ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬

‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺟ ﹴ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﹶﻏ‬ ‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺟ ﹴ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
Here the sentence is either negative, prohibitive or interrogative. The sentence is Affirmative.
In this case, the ‫ﺮﺍﺏ‬‫ ﹺﺇﻋ‬has two possibilities. ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬is always ‫ﺏ‬
 ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﺼ‬
 ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
Either ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ ﺍﹾﻟ‬is ‫ﺏ‬
 ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﺼ‬
 ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ or it may have the same ‫ﺮﺍﺏ‬‫ ﹺﺇﻋ‬as ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺘ ﹾﺜﻨ‬‫ﺴ‬
 ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺍﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
