Write a Haiku and specify the characteristics of it as a genre. 3. Travel is essential for a writer. Discuss the truth of this statement.

1. What strategies will you employ to sustain the readers attention till the end? 2. Give any three advantages of using symbols, with the help of examples. How is a symbol different from a metaphor? 3. Write three different opening sentences with a view to involve your reader in your writing and state how you want to achieve it.

Instructions: 1. The learners will select one topic from each course for preparing his/her submission. Thus, every learner will make three submissions, one per course. It is necessary that each submission starts on a fresh page with identifications like name, registration number and course title. 2. The word limits for each submission under each course to be approx 500 to 600 words. 3. The learners will submit the submissions in hard copy (all the 3 submission should be made at the same time in one bind) 4. Please mention your full & correct REGISTRATION NUMBER along with your Name & whether it is submission I or II on the cover page or first page. 5. Allotment of marks: Under the DCW program, total marks for all the 3 submissions will be 50/100 Mark division for each course has been specified against the courses.
