UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO AT HUMACAO ENGLISH DEPARTMENT EDPE 4006 Practice Teaching Eliezer Morales Ruiz.

. Reflection: April 16, 2013 to April 19, 2013. This week Monday was a Holiday, so we began the week on Tuesday. This week the students had to turn in their essays they had been working on the last week. After turning their essays to the teacher, they were going to have an oral evaluation with a rubric about their essays. They had to stand up in front of the classroom and present their essays and talk about the topics they develop on it. The essay was from a free topic but they had to choose a type of essay. It was interesting listening to the topics they choose to write about and how they develop their English language proficiency skills throughout the process. While giving these assignments I was also realizing that we were in the middle of the month of April and very close to May, our final month in the school. We remove the Easter decorations and began to decorate with graduation motives. Also, the Honor Roll was getting close and I was happy because I knew that I had a lot of students of my classroom in it. So, I began to plan what I was going to do next weeks and final evaluations. This week, began the Pruebas Puertorriqueas de Aprovechamiento Academico (PPAA) and I was assign to be part of this process as an assistant to a teacher throughout the days of the exams. I got assign to an 8th grade classroom and their homeroom teacher is the science teacher. This has been a new process for me that brought me memories of my school years. Everybody in the school has great expectations about the outcome of the tests. I believe the teachers have prepared the students for the material that is going to come. Lets wish success to every one of them during this week and next week.
