ABOUT SWEARING AND ITS DANGEROUS PART

I am a person who dont usually swear very much, except in some occasions, when I am very angry. But even I dont use serious swearwords. I dont like hearing them, because I am not used to listening to them at home or in my relatives. I would never swear when I am in class or in a formal situation: when I am in public, doing a presentation... In general terms I have never been offended about someone swearing, but sometimes there are swearwords that disgust me. For example, when I am with my parents or people who are not close to me, I dont like a friend to come and start swearing. My parents are like me, but they are more strict. When they meet somebody who swears too much, then they dont like him or her. For instance, sometimes I have had friends who swear a lot and when they have come to my house and they have swore, since that moment its more difficult to my parents to like them. My parents dont usually swear very much, and when they do this they are joking. Above all when we are with all the family. I dont really believe swearing to be useful for many reasons: if swearing in my mother tongue sounds badly, in a foreign language it is worse. In this way you can be seen as an impolite person. On the other hand, if you are studying a foreign language, the principal aim is to communicate with the people who talk this language and their culture. For this, swearing is not useful. I think its more difficult to swear in a foreign language because not all the cultures see the swearwords in the same way. Therefore, when swearing in another language you can have a different conception of the word used than the person who is listening to you and you could make a bad impression. However, swearwords in a foreign language are often learnt very fast among a lot of people. Finally, I think the children shouldnt be taught to swear because if they are learning swearwords since they are little, they will consider swearing as something more normal, and they will not be able to know when they shouldnt swear.
