Exclusive breastfeeding is the main food for infants aged 0-6 months that can meet all the needs of substance - nutrition. Exclusively breastfed babies will be determined from the knowledge, attitudes, and mothers behavior about exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of attitude with a history of maternal behavior in exclusive breastfeeding in the Village Kaliwining District Rambipuji - Jember in 2013. This study uses correlation analytic study with cross-sectional research design. Technique of sampling is purposive sampling. The samples in this study were mothers with infants aged 7-12 months with a total sample of 36 respondents. Tabulations of data processed and analyzed using Chi square test then determines the strength of the correlation using the contingency coefficient. Based on Chi Square test results obtained 2 value count > 2 table for the = 0.05 d.k = 1 ie 11> 3.481 where KK = 0.484 can be concluded that Ho is rejected while Ha is accepted, which means there is a correlation between attitude with a history of maternal behavior in the exclusive breastfeeding in rural Kaliwining District Rambipuji in 2013. Mothers are expected to seek more information about the benefits and importance of exclusive breastfeeding in infants. Keywords: Attitudes, behaviors, exclusive breastfeeding
