INCIDENT: Arrest DATE/TIME: September 15, 2013, 0925 LOCATION: Massapequa ITEM: 01

The Seventh Squad reports the Arrest of a male that occurred in Massapequa on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 9:25 A.M. According to detectives, a 24 year old female became involved in a verbal altercation with Tyleek Bussie, age 20 with no known address when the defendant took her phone and refused to return it at the Budget Inn, 400 Sunrise Highway. The altercation escalated and Bussie grabbed the victim around the neck choking her. He then displayed a handgun, removed U.S. currency, another cell phone and fled the scene. Bussie eventually returned and was taken into custody by members of the Bureau of Special Operations. He was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber handgun and the proceeds were recovered. The victim sustained a minor injury but did not require medical attention. The defendant was charged with Robbery 1 st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Monday, September 16, 2013.
