routines for the Daily 5 and building stamina. Our Read to Self stamina is looking good, this week we reached 18 minutes! My goal is that next week I will be able to start working with small groups of students during this time. We also practiced our Write to Self stamina, and introduced how to Read with a Partner. Ask your child what it means to sit EEKK This was our 2nd week with the new curriculum. I am still modifying the curriculum in order to practice our routines, but were getting there! Writing- We again worked on our Write to Self stamina, which increased to about 10 minutes. We are still learning how to become confident writers and put our thoughts onto paper. Math- This week was exciting in math as we got to explore some new tools. We also began working together in small groups. At this time, I am still helping with expectations, but by next week I expect to be working with small groups on specific skills. The skills we practiced this week were: Tally marks Outcomes (with dice) The calendar Writing numbers 5 and 6 Working in small groups Exploring math materials Weather and temperature routines

Social Studies/Science-

We used our classroom rules to create a version of our school rules, and discuss what happens when rules arent followed (logical consiquences, take a break). We also observed Constitution Day on
