The girls will be watching An American Girl Chrissa Stands Strong as the October activity on Monday October 21st from 6:30PM to 8:00PM @ St. Paul Episcopal Church. They will also earn their Hear a Story Award The movie run time is 1 hour 30 minutes so please arrive on time as we will be starting promptly at 6:30PM. Patch (Supplementary insignia developed at the national or council level with a focus on th participation) Opportunity Cary Downtown Harvest Festival Sat. Oct. 26 . Boy/Girl
Scouts can receive the following free patches: HOCA Downtown Harvest Day patch! Town of Cary patch!

Dont forget badges can be worked on individually throughout the year. Please email us a list of badges your daughter would like to work on. If there is enough interest, we could possible work on as a troop. The badges and the requirements can be found in the Brownie Girls Guide. Troop dues of $40 are now due. Cash or check is accepted. Please make checks payable to GS Troop 3309. The following forms are now due: Health History Form, the Parent/Guardian Permission for Troop Outings Form, and The G-1 Permission and Responsibility Form for the Cookie Sale Program. Investiture/Rededication Service to be held on November 4th during the troop meeting. Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade, December 14th at 2PM. Girls will need to be onsite by 12:30PM. Lineup for the parade is at 1PM. Details on the lineup location will be provided closer to the date. Did you know that not only do you have to complete a background check for certain volunteer positions (i.e. Troop Leader, Cookie Manager, etc) but you also have to complete one if you will be transporting a group of the girls for outings? Given the size of our Troop this year that might possibly happen. We are asking the parent(s) of each girl to complete the online background check information so if the situation ever arises, Julie and I will not have to scramble at the last minute.
