housands of us are striking today, not just in defence of our paywhich is facing a huge attack by the Toriesbut against the entire assault on education. Members of the NUT & NASUWT took successful strike action in June across the North West and on 1 October we struck across the Midlands, Yorkshire & Humberside and the Eastern Region and today were striking in London, the South West, South East, North East and Cumbria. action this term. We urgently need that national strike action to be called if we are to beat Goves attack on our pay and the wider assault on education. We are not fighting alone. Firefighters, university workers, postal workers and civil service workers are all already taking action or about to go into battle. We need to unite all the fights and strike back together if we want to see the back of this vicious Tory government. The TUCs talk of co-ordinated strikes and even a general strike needs to be turned into action.
