10 Yogas Named after Deities

These yogas are those that are named after an aspect of God, a deity, or heavenly being. They give a characteristic or quality of the deity, as well as grace from the deity, which contribute to the natives success and wealth. These yogas are the most powerful dasa effective yogas given and are generally rare, therefore, when present, they play a significant role in the life of the native. Most of these yogas also indicate some spiritual knowledge or philosophical tendencies. AVATARS According to Vedic Mythology, from each of the planets stemmed an avatar, or incarnation, of Lord Vishnu, the absolute aspect of God who manifests himself as everything in creation. From the Sun came Lord Rama, from the Moon Lord Krishna, from Mars Narasimha, from Mercury Buddha, from Jupiter Vamana, from Venus Parasurama, from Saturn Kurma, from Rahu Varaha, and from Ketu Matsya. These are all detailed in my book Vault of the Heavens. Four of these avatars also have very rare yogas named after them, which are the most powerful yogas of all: Varaha Boar Yoga: All planets in 1st, 5th, and 4th houses. One will command land, wealth, happiness, and wisdom. Varaha is the 1st incarnation of Vishnu as the boar that lifted the Earth from the waters so that creation could begin. Varaha then taught rituals for success, manifestation, wealth, etc. This yoga, therefore, gives land and wisdom primarily, and wealth as a natural product of these. Rahu and Ketu are not considered in the formation of this yoga.
