San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriffs Association Endorses James Mousalimas for County Superintendent of Schools
Cite his dedication to ensuring safe and violence free schools as main reason for endorsement

Tracy- James Mousalimas, current Deputy Superintendent of the San Joaquin County Office of Education, today announced that the San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriffs Association has endorsed his campaign to become San Joaquin Countys next Superintendent of Schools. "We need a strong partner in the County Office of Education to help make our schools safe and keep kids in the classroom and off the streets, said DSA PAC Chairman Steve McCulloch. James Mousalimas 28 years of experience in education as a teacher and an administrator is exactly what we need in our next County Superintendent. We enthusiastically endorse James Mousalimas to become San Joaquin Countys next Superintendent of Schools." The Deputy Sheriffs Association joins a growing list of endorsements for Mousalimas, including Former State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack OConnell, along with County Supervisors Steve Bestolarides, Carlos Villapudua and Ken Vogel. Along with being a long time county educator, James Mousalimas also sits on the board of the Community Partnership for Families and serves as Vice-Chair of the Measure S Oversight Committee. A former Peace Corps volunteer and graduate of UC Berkeley, the College of New Jersey and CSU Stanislaus, James is married to his wife of 24 years. Together they have three children, all of whom attended, or currently attend, local public schools.
