MATH LITERACY Identifying the major theme in a text (i.e. love, friendship, courage, acceptance, and patience).
Writing an opinion piece. The students will give their opinion on something, and explain why they feel that way. Knowing and applying grade-level phonics and high frequency words. STUDENTS ARE STILL NEEDING A LOT OF PRACTICE IN WRITING THEIR WORD WALL WORDS, AND USING PHONICS SKILLS FOR DICTATION ON FRIDAY!!! Please practice writing the word wall words, and phonics words!!! Sound-Spellings:
Adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers by multiples of 10 (i.e. 50-20=30; 40+40=80) Practicing counting to 120, and representing, writing, and reading numbers up to 100. Solving two-step word problems, and problems with 3 addends. Understanding subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8. Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data (graphing)

Understanding place value in the tens and one positions.
