TASK 2 : Minutes of a Meeting

MINUTES OF MEETING OF CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL CLUB

Date : 15 Jan 2013 Time : 3.00p.m. Venue : Caring Community Hall

Attendance : 10 committee members present, Getha absent apology. President Rathakrishnan a/l Selvaratnam apologized on behalf of myself as her were unable to attend for meeting due to other commitments. Approval of minutes of last meeting : The meeting was called to order at 3.05p.m. by our President Rathakrishnan a/l Selvaratnam. The minutes of the previous meeting was read. No amendments were recorded. Abu Malik proposed that the minutes be approved. The proposal was seconded by Teo Sim Wei.

Matters arising : 1. The president of the Cultural and Recreational Club, Mr. Rathakrishnan Selvaratnam, thanked to committee members for attending the meeting. He expressed his gratitude to members for electing him as the president. He was proud that the membership has now grown to 100,from just 50 during the previous year.

2. Mr. Rathakrishnan Selvaratnam kicked off the discussion by sharing his thought on activities that held in this year with committee members. They are cultural and art exhibition week, explorace contest, visit to cultural village, health poster campaign and

farewell party. He also asked the committee members to suggest regarding the month to held this activities. The committee members exchanged their opinion on varies issues which related to the activities for the year.

3. The committee members suggested cultural and art exhibition week held on February, explorace contest on may, visit to cultural village held on august, health poster campaign on September and lastly farewell party held on October. The President informed that two of committee member became project manager for each activities. He reminded the committee to take part and managed in these activities in spirit of helping and caring for the club.

Other matters: Next meeting held on 25 february 2013. Adjourment : There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 4.30 p.m.
